A little bit about the process

The foundation of our coffee/mushroom blend starts with 100% organic arabica coffee beans. Those beans are wood-fire roasted to perfection to produce a lower acidic coffee. This low acid coffee plays an important role in its compatibility with the mushrooms the MCT and the cacao.

Mushroom Extract.

Our organic mushrooms are dried and condensed from the fruiting body, it is extracted and dried to make a water soluble powder.

MCT (medium-chain triglycerides).

Our MCT is made from 100% organic coconut oil. The oil is evaporated to separate the medium and long-chain triglycerides. We keep the medium-chain saturated fats and bond them with acacia fiber (a great prebiotic).  That mix can then be air dried to produce a stabilized powder.  MCT binds with the dried mushrooms to keep them in your system longer to absorb all the nutrients possible.

Cacao.

Cold pressed from roasted organic Theobroma Cacao, to make a "butter". It is then ground and pressed to  remove the fats and made into a "cake". That "cake" is then dried, milled and sifted into a powder.

The importance of a lower acidic coffee when blended with the other ingredients is that it helps to retain more of the healthful properties once it enters your digestion.

There are no psychotropic properties in any of our Mushroom Coffees.

Bohemian Roastery meticulously roasts in eight-pound batches, assuring each responsibly sourced bean is given the chance to develop its complex and unique flavor.

 

The process of roasting with select hardwoods, is labor intensive and purposeful. Wood produces a gentle, moist heat that develops the coffee bean without lowering the PH, this means reduced acid and natural compatability with your body.
